Acoustic Jams / Fat Tuesday Party
It was a great Fat Tuesday party at Verlie's. Jacks special guest was Kristine Jackson, and they were both in top form. Not too many jammers but no one seemed to care as Jack and KJ rocked the night away. Thanks to Jeremy, Reese, Connie, Steve-O, Fred and Jamil for helping to make our first Fat Tuesday party a success. Here's what you had to say ...

Sunday Jams
It was another great jam with most of the usual suspects stopping in to rock & roll at Verlie's.
Unfortunately Vickie wasn't feeling well and the Whammer Jammers were without Cleveland's finast keyboard player. Thanks to Kemo (great sushi dude!), Frank Silk, Neon Craig, Jeremy Terry, and Jose. Here's

- I can't wait for Smiley Baldazar to play here on May 8th. It's going to be just a littlew bit better than Sunday Jam Night (maybe) - Burns

Hydra
Hydra is yet another example of the unbelieivable local talent that have played at Verlie's. They were heavy, yet melodic, and they kept the volume at a reasonable level. Hydra rocked the house with their original sound, and they did a kewl remake of Ride Captian Ride. The adience will now speak:
- Hydra is cool! Syncopation, great melodies, clean vocals, and again...ORIGINALS that kick ass. we need more...feed me! - Jeremy

Acoustic Jams
Jack and Joe hosted the jams last night. Kimo was there early with his ukulele in tow. It really put a different spin on things, I don't think I ever heard a ukulele blues player, another first for Verlie's. Kristine Jackson showed up and debuted a couple of her latest originals. She is really coming into her own as a songwriter, and is developing her own style. KJ will be hosting next Tuesday along with Jack for our Fat Tuesday Party, so stop down for the festivities. Later in the night we had another surprize, Becky Boyd popped in and sang a couple of tunes with Jack & Kristine. Thanks to all the jammers including Jeremy, Reese, Freddie, & Mark for comin out as well. Here's what you said:
- Ah, Jack and Joe Brunetti, the best reason to come out on a Tuesday! I love this place, I can't say it enough. The beer's great too - Jeremy
- Like I said the only place I want to be on Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday - Hank
- I was so happy to see Kristine jammin with Jack when I walked in. It's always fun to sing with KJ. She rocks! Vickie & Kenny, thank you for the nice reception I always receive - Becky Boyd
- Entirely tooo much sickness in this joint. Thanks Jack ( knew I could count on you!) It's a good day, I've got no job, but we've got the funk. And full squad report for spring camp today! Play ball -Sleepy
- Where's Kristine?? Oh there she is! Nice to know I'm not the only one "doin" the "rag" Nice do-rag, nice tunes, and my God, there's Becky Boyd! Feed the damn Kitty - J

3 north
3north's drummer was MIA, so it ended up being 2 north unplugged. Don brought some other friends to sit in as well, and it turned into an all out jam. We also had some comic relief from up and coming comedian Ed Golden performing on the break. It was a really spontaneous night which is what Verlie's is all about. Here's what you said:
- Great show 3 north, even though there were only 2 - Jeremy

Minute of Arc, Milksop
Minute of Arc kicked things off. This power trio had a really full sound. Although the vocals gave them a modern sound, it was reminiscent of classic/progressive rock. The band was tight, with plenty of dynamics to keep it interesting. Next up was Milksop. These guys had a heavier sound, but were still very enjoyable. They put on a great show, and had alot of stage presence. Once again not alot of blogs, here's what was turned in:
- Minute of Arc is the best local band I've seen in I don't know when. Awesome - Andrew of Mute
- Milksop...interesting name for an interesting band. We need more original groups in here, excellent! Verlie's is where it's at - Jeremy
- First time here, great rock n roll bar with friendly staff...makes you feel like you have found home
- Milksop put on an explosive performance, rattling the windows and very souls of those lucky enough to be within earshot. Even the elderly lady across the street likely found it impossible not to tap her foot along with the infectious rhythms produced tonight. A knockout offering, matched only by the incredible mixing of the sound tech @ Verlie's - Tom from Earth to Julie
- I came to Verlie's not knowing what to expect. Minute of Arc tends to be a little loud so I was worried about the size. I like playing smaller places. I like being on floor level. It makes it seem like your playing a party. All in all Verlie's is a rad place to play. I would love to come back - Rick

Ohm
The threat of a big snow storm may have kept some away last night. But Ohm delivered a night of high energy music and wowed all that were there.
